Claustrophobic?

Claustrophobia is one of the most common issues people face when they need an MRI, but there are some easy ways to combat those frightful feelings.

-Keep your eyes closed. The technician can provide you with an eye mask which blacks out vision and is very effective in reducing fear.

-Turn up the music. The technicians can also provide headphones that will play music to distract from the drumming noises that can come from the MRI Machine.

- Take deep breaths to keep heart rate down and stress to a minimum.

-Stay still- Keeping still will allow the technicians to do their work and make your exam go quicker.

-Ask your Doc.- If you feel like these tips wont help ask your doctor to write you a script for an anxiety medication to help you through the exam.
